Songbox is an online meeting place for creators of music (songwriters, artists, producers, bands) and businesses within the music industry (music publishers, records companies, managers, clubs etc.) with focus on unsigned and unpublished music. Songbox consists of two user groups: Artist and Business. On one side are the creators of music and on the other, those who use music in their business. Songbox is the link between the two.
Songbox for Artists
Our goal at Songbox is to collect all of the business contacts you as an artist need, in one place, regardless of whether you are looking for gigs, a record contract or a publishing deal. Songbox contains a directory of key persons and companies within the music industry and lets you get in direct contact with them. Songbox also offers many other useful services to artists, such as: leads, competitions, professional feedback panels, etc.
The basic Songbox membership is free-of-charge. When you send your music to business professionals in the Songbox community we charge a contact fee using a simple credit based system. However, by becoming a subscribing Songbox Pro-Member you receive a multitude of services and can send your music to an unlimited number of contacts, at no additional charge!
Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3
1. Create an Account – It is free to open up a Songbox account and to create your profile. You can add information about yourself with pictures, videos and more. To see a sample profile click here.
2. Upload your music – Once you have created your account you are ready to upload your music. You can have up to 20 songs simultaneously uploaded in your account. In order to maintain your integrity, uploading your music to Songbox does not automatically make it accessible to the public, unless you want it to.
3. Start contacting hundreds of professionals – You are now ready to start contacting the hundreds of industry contacts in the Songbox network. You can search for different types of companies depending on what you are interested in, whether it is publishers, management, record companies, etc. |
