Songbox Just Got Even More Secure: Introducing Two-Factor Authentication
Your music matters. Your privacy matters. Protecting both has always been a core part of what we do at Songbox. Today, we are strengthening that commitment by introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all Songbox accounts.
Security should be simple, and it should also be strong. 2FA adds a short additional step when you log in, ensuring that only you can access your account, your catalogue, and your shared links.
Why We Added 2FA
Songbox is used every day by artists, labels, publishers, and industry teams to share unreleased music, sensitive files, and private links. As the platform grows, it becomes even more important to provide protection against account breaches.
2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access by requiring a time based verification code from your authenticator app, even if someone has obtained your password.
How It Works
Enabling 2FA takes less than a minute:
Go to My Account > Security in your Songbox dashboard.
Scan the QR code using your preferred authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
Enter the 6 digit code to confirm.
2FA is now active on your account.
From your next login, you will enter your password and then a verification code from your authenticator app. This provides an additional layer of protection every time you sign in.
