Opening your shop

Opening a shop is free. There's no subscription to pay and nothing to commit to up front — you can set everything up and look around before you sell a thing.

Free to open, then two things to do

A shop has two parts:

• Set up your store — its name, web address, images and what it shows. See Setting up your store.
• Get set up to take payments — a short, one-time verification before money can change hands. See Getting set up to take payments.

You can post to your feed and build an audience straight away — taking payments is only needed once you want to sell or take subscriptions.
