How recipients verify with a PIN
For restricted Songboxes, recipients confirm their email and enter a one-time PIN on each new device.
Restricted Songboxes protect your music by checking that the right person is opening the link, on a device you can trust.
The recipient's steps
- They open your link and enter their email address.
- If their email is on the invite list, we send them a one-time PIN.
- They enter the PIN to confirm it's really them.
- Their device is then trusted, so next time they can open the Songbox without entering a PIN again.
New devices
If the same person later opens the link on a different device or browser, they'll verify with a fresh PIN for that device. This is normal and keeps access tied to the people you invited.
Didn't get the PIN?
Recipients can request the PIN again from the same screen. Ask them to check their spam folder, and make sure they're using the exact email address you invited.
