Public vs restricted Songboxes
The difference between a Songbox anyone with the link can open and one limited to invited people.
Every Songbox is either open or restricted. You choose which, and you can change it at any time.
Open (public link)
Anyone who has the link can open the Songbox. Best for wide sharing — campaigns, social posts, or anything you're happy for people to pass on.
Restricted (invited people only)
Only people you invite can get in. When someone opens a restricted link, they confirm their email address and verify their device with a one-time PIN. After that, their device is trusted so they aren't asked again. This keeps private music with the people you intended.
Switching
You can move a Songbox between open and restricted from its access settings. To learn how invites work, read Restrict access and invite people by email.
