Why was my recipient asked for their email?
Because the Playlist is restricted or has an invite wall — both ask for an email first.
If someone tells you they had to enter their email to open your Playlist, it's because of how that Playlist is set up — and it's working as intended.
Two settings ask for an email
- Restricted access — the Playlist is limited to invited people, so we check the visitor's email against your invite list and verify their device with a PIN.
- Invite wall — the Playlist asks every visitor for an email before opening, so you can see who's listening.
Want to remove the step?
If you'd prefer anyone with the link to open it with no email at all, open Playlists from the main menu, open the Playlist, and in its access settings switch it to open and turn off the invite wall.
